Parker jurors have 3 verdicts but murder charge undecided

by Chloé Morrison

LaFAYETTE, Ga. —Jurors in Sam Parker murder case have come to a decision on three charges not related to murder, they told the judge this afternoon.

The jury wrapped up deliberations after working all day in Walker County Superior Court.

At the end of the day, Judge Jon “Bo” Wood asked jurors to report on their progress but not to tell him their decision.

The forewoman said they have verdicts on the charges of making false statements, computer invasion of privacy and violation of oath as a public officer.

On the charge of malice murder in the death of Theresa Parker, the forewoman said the jurors are now split 4-8. Judge Wood told her not to say which way the jurors are leaning.
