LaFAYETTE, Ga. — The jury in Sam Parker’s murder trial ended the day without reaching a verdict.
Jurors began on Monday considering whether Mr. Parker is guilty of murdering his wife, Theresa Parker, who disappeared in March, 2007.
After lunch today, Judge Jon “Bo” Wood asked if they had reached a verdict on the murder charge and the forewoman said no. But she said jurors felt they were making progress.
On Tuesday, jurors told Judge Wood they had reached verdicts in the other three felony charges of charge of making false statements, computer invasion of privacy and violating his oath as a public officer. Judge Wood cautioned the jurors not to reveal the nature of those verdicts.
Jurors will start again at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Walker County Courthouse.
