about Clay Bennett...
The son of a career army officer, Bennett led a nomadic life, attending ten different schools before graduating in 1980 from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Art and History. After brief stints as a staff artist at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Fayetteville (NC) Times, he went on to serve as the editorial cartoonist for the St. Petersburg Times (1981-1994) and The Christian Science Monitor (1997-2007), before joining the staff of the ...

Well...did she OD on something the head doctor gave her?
Give the chair to Chuck, then. He's just as whiny, and it would fit him better.
After the election Robin Smith made the statement "While this campaign ends tonight, my work for a better America does not. Over the past twenty years, I have contributed to the conservative cause without the need of a title. That does not change with this result...". Not participating in the GOP Unity Breakfast undermines her statement. The people spoke; she needs to respect their decision and support Chuck Fleischmann.
When my children were rather young and prone to tantrums, I could always rely on pacifiers and time outs. Who would have thought that those same solutions could be used for many of the TN GOP candidates. I think they need to be reminded that the 'P' in GOP stands for 'party' not 'pouters'.
An appropriate cartoon for the arrogant attitude shown by her. Makes you wonder if someone took her "check book" away?
Give the high chair to baby McWhirter.
WHAT !! No one's brought up religion yet? What about Obamacare? Immigration? Government bailouts? Guns in bars? Come on people, where's everyone at? At the mall? Gone to the lake? You've got to better than this !!
Hambone,
1) Smith and Chuck both seem to worship at the altars they've erected to themselves.
2) They currently seem to dislike each other more than Obamacare.
3) Decency immigrated out of both of them long ago.
4) Smith is bailing out of this "government" process right now.
5) Neither of them should bring guns to the unity party... could get ugly.
6) As for where everyone is... probably trying to figure out why this is such an ordeal and coming up with no good explanations.
WTG! LOL you covered it all moonpie
There is another choice this November, conservative independent candidate Mark DeVol. Believing in "Principles before Party" DeVol removed himself from the Republican primary and re-filed as an independent to ensure that the citizens of the Third District would have a choice this November should the Party system fail them - yet again.

Hambone,
You forgot deceitful, money making, slave type adoption, foster care, and the ability of congress to raise their own pay and benefits.
There are probably more.
Yawn, I remember Clay begging for Smith and Wamp victories so he would have some material for his lame cartoons. Too bad he is too blinded by his political ideology to see the gushing well head of materal that Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Rangle, Waters, Dodds and Frank are, to name a few.
Great cartoon Clay! Now do one that shows Robin is no longer a party boss! She is kaput, finished, done! We don't ever want to see that blonde witch again!
I never thought I would agree with anything you drew Clay, but you are right on with this one. Man, I'm shocked.
Big Ridge-Perhaps you would better enjoy more conservative cartoons and opinions such as at the Washington Times and New York Post? Between Rupert Murdoch and Sun Myung Moon, there should be plenty of material for you.
I'll tell you what deserves the yawn here- BigRidgePatriot's post.
Your lame recitation of the conservative talking points is not only annoying, but completely off point. Here we have a cartoon about the primary in our own congressional district, and you're complaining that Clay didn't draw a cartoon about representatives from California, Nevada, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
I find it amusing that the folks who complain the loudest about the partisan nature of Bennett's work, seem to be so obsessively partisan themselves.
Do us all a favor (and I hope everyone will follow this advice), if your comment starts off with the word 'yawn', please refrain from posting it. As BigRidgePatriot so apply demonstrated, If you're really THAT bored with the cartoon, the comment you post will most likely be boring itself.
