Ann Barnes

Ann Jean Barnes, 85, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Ann was born in New York, raised her family in Pennsylvania and lived in Chattanooga with her sister, Clara and daughter, Kathryn the past 26 years. Ann was a member of the Catholic Church. Ann worked with Alcoa Aluminum Lab during WWII and wrote for the Monroeville Pennsylvania Gazette. Ann managed a fabric store in Pittsburgh, Pa., and was a member of the Friends of the Chickamauga National Park. Ann was an avid quilter, cook, book enthusiast and an adventurer. Her sister, Clara, was her best friend and travel companion for her lifetime.

She was the wife of her late husband, John William Barnes Sr.; and the daughter of the late Bernard F. Shaughnessy and Helen Ruth Gallagher. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Clara C. Shaughnessy and Mary Gedman; brothers, Bernard and John Shaughnessy.

Survivors include her son, Colonel Retired John William Barnes Jr. and wife Judith, of Ashton, Md., and Seoul, Korea and their two sons, John David Barnes and wife, Emma, of Ashton, Md., and Mark William and wife, Laura, of Seoul, Korea; son, Michael Joseph Barnes (retired NFL player with Baltimore Colts) and wife, Hollie, of Guys Mills, Pa., and their children, Jessica Kyle Barnes and Erin Renee Barnes, of Portland, Ore., and Michael Ryan Barnes, of St. Augustine, Fla..; daughter, Kathryn Schiavon Barnes (with Carpenters Local #74) and her children, Dennis Fredrick Schiavon, Daniel Ian Schiavon and Branden Kurtis Schiavon, all of Chattanooga; Ann's brother, Joseph Shaughnessy and wife, Ann, and their children, Maureen, Joseph, Patricia, Michael, Kathleen and James, of Crown Point, Ind.

A gathering of family and friends will be 1 p.m. today at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.

Evelyn Batson

Evelyn Rose Dickinson Batson, 91, died peacefully at her home Friday afternoon, Feb. 12, 2010, surrounded by family and friends.

A native of Mercer, Tenn., she had lived in Chattanooga for 65 years. She was a faithful member of Rivermont Presbyterian Church since its inception. Evelyn enjoyed traveling, painting and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Glass and Mary Hudson Dickinson; infant daughter, Jane Evelyn Batson; sisters, Virginia D. Frey and Lois D. Roberts.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 69 years, Robert J. Batson Sr.; sons, Robert J. Batson Jr. and James A. (Susan) Batson; grandchildren, Laurel Batson (Jim) Boles, Robert J. (Jane) Batson III and Todd A. (Lauren) Batson; great-grandchildren, Ashley Boles, Brett Boles, Christopher Boles, Jack Batson, Sara Catherine Batson and Thomas Walker Batson; brother, John G. (Virginia) Dickinson; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family expresses sincere appreciation to the staff at Life Care Center of Red Bank and Hospice of Chattanooga, and special caretaker, Nolan Butler.

The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 at Rivermont Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Rivermont Presbyterian Church with Dr. Daniel Sansbury officiating.

Burial will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be the Rivermont Presbyterian Senior Adult Bible Study.

Ethel Clark, 67, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010 at her residence.

Forrest Cortner

Forrest C. Cortner, 62, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010.

He was born to the late George Allen Cortner and Lucy Cathey Cortner in Chattanooga. He was the owner operator of Cortner Auto Sales, and he loved fishing and cooking for his friends and family.

Survivors include his sister, Lucy Gail Morgan, of Dimondale, Mich.; brother, Thomas Allen Cortner, of Brooksville, Ky.; two nieces, Cathy Cortner and Pamela Collins; three nephews, Michael Cortner, David Wayne Lickert, and Larry Don Lickert; five great-nieces; and two great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Jerry Graf

Jerry Nicholas Graf died at home on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2010, after a battle with cancer.

He was born in Owensboro, Ky., on Aug. 1, 1938. He attended the University of Alabama for four years where he majored in Electrical Engineering. He held many positions with LePage's Incorporated, a consumer products manufacturing company, that he joined in Nov. 27, 1967 and retired on Dec. 31,1991. At the time of his retirement, Mr. Graf was chairman of the board, chief executive officer and president of the company. He was a avid golfer and played almost every day during his retirement for the past 20 years. Since moving to Chattanooga, Mr. and Mrs. Graf have been members of Our Lady Of The Mount Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry "Jay" Graf Jr.; parents, Albert and Virginia Graf; and his brother, Larry Graf, all of Owensboro, Ky.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betsy Graf, Chattanooga; daughters, Lynn Slack (Hugh), Pittsburgh, Pa., and Cathy Graf, Chattanooga; three grandchildren, Shelby Slack (Christie), Pittsburgh, Paige and Olivia Gregerson, Chattanooga.

The funeral mass for Mr. Graf will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 18, at Our Lady Of The Mount Catholic Church, 1227 Scenic Highway, Lookout Mountain, Ga.

Interment of Mr. Graf will be at the Memorial Garden located at Our Lady Of The Mount Catholic Church.

William "Ronnie" Harris, 41, of Ooltewah, passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2010.

He is survived by many loving family members including: parents, Edward and Marian Harris; sister, Susan Smith (Charles H. Smith Jr.); niece, Saige Smith and lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, and one very special doggie, May May.

Joyce Faye Knight, 72, of Chattanooga passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at her residence.

Burial will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

Jodey McGuire

Jodey Max "Mac" McGuire, 73, of East Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at his home.

Mr. McGuire was a native of Lost Mountain, Ga. where he was raised by his parents, Earl and Luvie McGuire. He was of the Baptist faith, a U.S. Navy veteran, and was a retired building superintendant.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Grady Earl McGuire; daughter, Marie McGuire; brother, Jim McGuire; and sister, Karel Lassiter.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Shirley McGuire; daughters, Teresa (David) Johnson, Sandra Cooke and Ann (Joe) Bietzel; grandchildren, Robert Bledsoe Jr., Kevin Scott Cooke Jr., Melissa Johnson, Christine Johnson and Tammy Lindsay; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Sue Butt and Zelma Earlene Fellner; and several nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Wayland Stewart officiating, and military honors provided by American Legion Post 95.

Homer E. Nelson, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010.

Richard Peaslee

Richard Selby Peaslee, beloved husband and cherished friend, passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, in a local health care facility.

A native of Worcester, Mass., Richard was born on April 8, 1930, to the late Philip and Evelyn Peaslee.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gigi Batu Peaslee, a native of Turkey; his sisters, Joy Nadon and Judith (Alan) Gustafson, of Worcester, and nephews, Brett Boucher and Eric Gustafson. Also surviving are his brother-in-law, Atilla (Christa) Batu; his nephews-in-law, John and Kerim Batu, and a niece-in-law, Suzan Batu, of Darmstadt, Germany. Richard also leaves behind many friends, who will miss him sorely, especially Richard Brewer, Henry Groseclose, Hugh Walker, Everett Hixson, and David Kling.

Retired from the U.S. Navy as Chief Petty Officer (Radio Man), most of Richard's service was spent on ships in the 6th Fleet. His final posting, to Chattanooga, led to the Peaslees choosing to make the city their home. Richard was associated with Rossville Yarn and the Better Business Bureau before joining Rock City Gardens, from which he retired, for second time, in 1995.

A longtime American history buff, with a special interest in the Civil War, Richard graduated from the University of Tennessee of Chattanooga with a B.A. in History. Over the years, he spent time at each of the National Civil War Parks and Museums.

An active community volunteer, Richard's service extended from tutoring at Normal Park Elementary School to serving on the Chattanooga Sports Committee. He also belonged to Red Bank Masonic Lodge 717, Alhambra Shrine of Chattanooga, and the Alhambra Legion of Honor. In addition, Richard was a 32nd-degree Chattanooga Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the High Twelve Club.

An active member of Second Presbyterian Church, Richard was an ordained elder, who gave his time generously to many church projects.

Funeral services for Mr. Peaslee will be held at Second Presbyterian Church, 700 Pine St., Chattanooga, at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, with the Rev. Perry McCallen officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today, Feb. 18, 2010, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.

Interment will take place at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.

Geraldine Ringley

Wilma Geraldine "Jerry" Bryant Ringley, 94, of Hixson, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at a local hospital of complications from pneumonia.

Geraldine was born in Catoosa County, Ga., on April 29, 1915, the daughter of the late Arthur and Natalie Legrand Bryant. She moved to Hixson in 1918. Geraldine was a member of Burks United Methodist Church in Hixson.

Geraldine attended Gold Point School in Hamilton County and graduated eighth grade May 9, 1930. She attended Hixson High School and graduated May 8, 1934 as Salutatorian. She received her bachelor of arts degree from Milligan College, May 13, 1938, and her masters degree in education from Milligan College. She also attended Berea College for one year.

Geraldine married Lester Durrell Ringley in 1940 and they moved to Tampa, Fla., in 1942, where she taught in high school and was a football coach. She relocated back to Hixson in 1946, and taught at Ganns Middle Valley Elementary until 1971.

For the past 51/2 years, she was a resident at Regency Assisted Living in Hixson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Durrell "Doc" Ringley.

Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Linda R. Smith of Charleston, S.C.; and a son, Don Durrell Ringley of Soddy-Daisy; son-in-law, James Lynn Smith and daughter-in-law, Pam Rogers Ringley; niece, BeBe Bryant; nephews, Peter and Thomas Arthur Bryant; great-niece, Alexandra Bryant and great-nephews, Carson and Armon Bryant.

Ms. Ringley's family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Patton-Evans and to the ICU staff at Memorial Northpark Hospital.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at the North Chapel.

Services for Geraldine will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at the North Chapel with the Rev. Lonnie Eldridge officiating.

Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Robert Scott Jr.

Robert P. Scott Jr., 81, of Signal Mountain, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010. at his home.

He was president of R.P. Scott Contracting Co. and graduated from Baylor School and Georgia Tech where he was a member of Sigma Chi.

A son of the late Robert P. and Mary Rogers Scott, he was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He was a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Odom Scott; three children, Valerie, of Charleston, S.C.; Rob, of Soddy-Daisy; Ben and wife, Elizabeth, of Atlanta; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-granddaughters.

The family would like to thank Jersey and Lee from Corebody Training for their help in his battle with Parkinson's and Clare and John Moon of Home Helpers.

Joie Ann Leonard Killingsworth Shuler passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 in New Orleans after a courageous battle with leukemia.

Daughter of the late John Lewis and Rosemary Siragusa Leonard. Loving mother of Jason Adam Killingsworth. Sister of Craig William Leonard and Clayton Lewis Leonard. She was born Dec. 25, 1955 in New Orleans and lived in Chattanooga for the past 25 years.

Fred Smith

George F. "Fred" Smith, 67, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at his residence.

Fred was retired from E.P.B. after 32 years of service and was a member of the IBEW Local #175. He was an avid hunter and Nascar fan and loved to ride motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta "Bertie" Smith, of Soddy-Daisy; father, George W. Smith, of Crossville, Tenn.; daughter, Lisa Swilling of Soddy-Daisy; stepson, David E. James, of Hixson; sister, Faye McCoy, of Cleveland, Tenn.; good friend, Charles Newton, of Soddy-Daisy and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Aaron Simmons and the Rev. Troy Simmons officiating.

Marie Smith-Morgan

Marie Smith-Morgan, 89, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, in a local hospital.

A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was a member of Tyner Church of Christ and a former member of Rossville Church of Christ. She was retired from TVA with 38 years of service and was the daughter of the late, Carl and Bessie Bankston Smith.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, LeBron Franklin, and her sister, Mildred Guthrie.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd Morgan; daughter, Patricia Parrott, Chattanooga; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one niece, and one nephew.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Tyner Church of Christ with Minister George Cupp officiating.

Madge Taylor

Madge Pease Taylor, 90, went aloft Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, Fla.

She was born in Chattanooga, on December 29, 1919, to Harlan A. Pease and Webbie Green Pease. After living her whole life in Chattanooga, Madge moved to St. Augustine in 2007 to live with her daughter, Sandra.

A graduate of City High School in Chattanooga, Madge attended Edmonson Business College and started working at Southern Auto as a bookkeeper before graduating. Widowed early in life, she continued working there for many years until the business closed and then went on to work at several other businesses in Chattanooga, Scholtz Tannery, Rapro, Southern Supply & Extinguisher and Southern Auto Radiator, always doing bookkeeping before her retirement in 2001. Madge always excelled at math and finances. She made sure that her children had good memories of family life and many vacations were spent in Florida in the Daytona area visiting the beach and local attractions.

Madge was a member of Avondale Baptist Church for many years before moving to Brainerd in the early 1960s and joining Brainerd Baptist Church. She was active in the church during her younger years and enjoyed many trips with the Keenagers at Brainerd Baptist Church. Even after she moved to Florida to be with her daughter, Madge remained a member of Brainerd Baptist Church. In St. Augustine, Madge attended the Council on Aging while her health permitted.

Madge is survived by her daughter, Sandra Taylor, of St. Augustine, Fla.; several nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law Virginia Hunt, of Harriman, Tenn., Edna Plemons, of Ringgold, Ga.; and brother-in-law, Harry Plemons of Ringgold.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaston Raul Taylor; youngest daughter, Patricia Mae Taylor; her parents, Harlan and Webbie Pease; sister, Hazel Manz; brother, Clarence Pease; brothers-in-law, Jack Manz, Alvin Taylor, Harold Taylor, Winston Howell; and sisters-in-law, Lillian Howell, Dot Taylor and Emalyne Taylor.

Stacy Vandergriff

Stacy Allison Vandergriff, a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, surrounded by her family. She was 51.

Stacy was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area where she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. After graduating from Hixson High School, she procured an associate's degree in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University. She retired from UNUM.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Lanier Allison Sr.

Survivors include her mother, Katy W. Allison; her two sons, Lee D. Vandergriff and Logan D. Vandergriff; and her brothers, Joe W. Allison and Ralph L. Allison.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at the North Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home at 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.

A private family burial will follow the service.

James W. Williams, 83, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 at his residence.

Walter Williams

Walter Howard Williams, 72, of Chattanooga, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, in a local hospital.

Mr. Williams was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was a son of the late Levi and Sara Thomas Williams. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Williams and Wendell Williams.

Mr. Williams was a member of Brainerd Hills Presbyterian Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, life long conservationist and Entrepenuer.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in law, Dianna and William Ruffner II, Chattanooga; two brothers, Earl D. Williams, Harold H. Williams, sister, Sara W. Davis; two grandchildren, all of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at Brainerd Hills Presbyterian Church with Pastor Roop officiating.

Trin Wooten Jr.

Trin Augustus Wooten Jr., 82, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at Hutcheson Medical Center.

He was employed by Gulf Oil Corporation for over 30 years. He worked in Chattanooga, was plant manager in Paducah, Ky., and then transferred to Louisville, Ky., where he was plant manager until his retirement in 1983.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Trin and Willie Stowe Wooten, formerly of Chattooga County; brothers, Chester, Ralph, and Johnny; and sisters, Thelma Beagles, and Eloise Wood.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Polly Hartline Wooten; two daughters, Lynn (Wesley) Jackson, Chickamauga, and Laura (David) Crawford, Chickamauga; two sons, Trin A. Wooten III, Chickamauga, and Jim (Susan)

Wooten, LaFayette; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; cousins, Ressie Howell, Janey McWhorter, Pauline Hixson, Mamie Hartline, and others of the Trion and Summerville area.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ralph Wooten Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Grand Center Cemetery in Chickamauga.

Garreld Dilley

SEQUATCHIE -- Garreld Eugene Dilley, 66, passed away on Monday Jan. 11, 2010, in a Chattanooga hospital.

A native of Pattonburg, Mo., he was the son of the late Gathel and Isabelle Sparks Dilley.

Mr. Dilley was a veteran, serving in Vietnam and retiring from the U.S. Army in 1982 after more than 22 years of service.

Survivors include his sons, Charles Dilley, of Albany, Ore., and James Dilley, of Veneta, Ore.; several other family members and friends.

Virginia Greene

CLEVELAND -- Virginia Clayton Greene, 86, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010.

A quiet, gentle wife, mother, and sister, she will be greatly missed by all knew and loved her.

Mrs. Greene was a lifelong resident of Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Glen W. Greene; and her parents, George S. Clayton and Marjorie Ledford Clayton.

She was a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church for many years and for the last several years she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cleveland and the Gleaners Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Greene is survived by her two children, Gary W. Greene (Dianne), of Cleveland and Debbie Watson (David), of Lookout Mountain; her grandchildren: April Perry (Tom) ,of Murfreesboro, Stephanie Pariani (Brian), of Houston, Texas, Brent Greene (Kate), of Westminster, Colo., Clay Watson (April), of Lookout Mountain and Katie Tipton (Taylor), of Arlington, Va. She was a loving great-grandmother to six great-granddaughters. She is also survived by her sisters, Patsy Carroll (Max) and Judy Hooper (DeWayne), all of Cleveland. Several nieces and nephews also survived.

A celebration of her life and homegoing will be held Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Gibson and Morty Lloyd officiating.

Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Clay Watson, Brent Greene, Tom Perry, Taylor Tipton, Lee Glover, David Carroll and John Carroll serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

Her family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

SEQUATCHIE -- Morris Norvell, 67, departed this world and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010 at his home.

Born in Kimball, Tenn. to the late Morris Norvell Sr., and Audrey Durham Norvell, he had worked as a carpenter for over 40 years and was a member of New Beginnings Church in Jasper.

A loving husband, father and grandfather, he loved fishing and was an avid gardener. He had a zest for life and will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Ann Ellis Norvell; son, Matthew (Jackie) Kilgore, of Ringgold, Ga.; daughter, Lynn (Jimmy) Shelton, of Jasper; brother, Lawrence "Eddie" (Dorothy) Norvell, of Kimball; sisters, Kathleen (Frank) Coffelt, of Jasper and Colleen Norvell, of Lewisville, Texas; grandchildren, Meghan and Mason Shelton, James Loyd "Jimmie" Kilgore; several nieces and nephews.

Bob Tudors

JASPER -- Bobby "Bob" Tudors, 65, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.

Mr. Tudors was born in South Pittsburg, Tenn., a son of the late Lonnie and Gladys Caldwell Tudors.

After graduating from Marion County High School, Mr. Tudors entered the US Navy, serving on the USS Shangri La.

He was the founder of Service Industrial Supply Company in Chattanooga and served as President of the company until his retirement.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by brothers, Harvey, Jim, Billy, Howard and Gene Tudors; sisters, Frances Cox and Daisy Childress.

Survivors include his wife, Inna Eller Tudors, of Jasper; sons, Robert "Bobby" Tudors, of Chattanooga, and Allen Tudors, of Jasper; grandsons, Bobby Tudors III, of Trenton, Ga., and William Gossett, of Chattanooga; great-grandson Hayden Tudors; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon CST Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Luke Williams and Brother Billy Rankin officiating.

He was a retired minister and teacher.

Earl Capehart

LaFAYETTE -- Earl Ray "Ronnie" Capehart, 79, passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, in a local hospital.

He was born May 5, 1930 to the late Clarence Ray Capehart and Gertrude Hardy Dake.

Mr. Capehart was a United States Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War where he was also a former prisoner of war for 18 months.

Being a vender and trader at the former 23rd Street Flea Market and the Trion Trade Day was among his favorite hobbies. He was of the Baptist faith.

His brothers, Fred Eugene Capehart and James Carl Capehart; and stepson, Billy Hull preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Kinsey Capehart; stepchildren, Bruce H. Kinsey; David Wayne Kinsey and James Thomas (Belinda) Kinsey, all of LaFayette; Gloria (Eddie) Hammontree, of Rossville; sister, Mary Faye Hasting of Flat Rock, Ala.; brother Dennis "Dent" (Joyce) Capehart, of Georgetown; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be today at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with his nephew, the Rev. Robert K. Schrader officiating. Full military honors will be provided.

She was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and was a member of Calvary Way Baptist Church for over 27 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gordon Myers Jr.; parents, D.C. and Myrtle Sharrock; son, James "Jim" Presley Myers; sister, Mary Evelyn "Dink" Gutherie; and brother, Roy Sharrock.
