Sean Phipps - Remembering Vic Chesnutt and Rowland S. Howard in Studio ‘99 01/01/10

We lost two greats over the holiday season. Vic Chesnutt took his own life at the age of 45 after a lifelong battle with depression. I was introduced to his music several years ago and he was one of my favorites. The other, arguably more obscure, artist we lost was Rowland S. Howard. Howard was a member of The Birthday Party and recently released his second solo-album “Pop Crimes” to much critical acclaim. He lost his battle to liver disease. I’ve put together a brief tribute to both artists on this week’s MUSICcast in hopes you’ll take the time and become a fan, as I did.

Some Shows: Folks, where do we start with all of the festivities? There’s too many to list here. I suggest picking up a copy of FYI Weekend and reading the events calendar.
