Player: Rocklin Shumaker

Shumaker was possibly the area's top talent in 2010. The Chattanooga Christian junior led the area with 30 goals while adding eight assists and helped the Chargers to the Class A/AA state championship game, where they lost in a shootout. But it wasn't just Shumaker's ability with the ball that aided CCS's success. "In many ways, Rocklin was also our most improved player with regards to the work that he did off the ball," coach Shawn Brower said. "He often saw extra defensive attention, particularly in state. This naturally provides others with opportunities."

Coach: Jeff Dean

Dean led Hixson to the best season in the program's TSSAA history, with a school record 18 wins and a trip to the Class A/AA sectionals. With only two senior starters, the Wildcats won the District 6-A/AA regular season and tournament titles before falling in the region finals to eventual state champion Boyd-Buchanan and in the sectional to state runner-up Chattanooga Christian.
