Thursday night's nine-band punk fest at JJ's Bohemia kicked off the Do Ya Hear We festival. For the rest of the weekend, another three dozen bands from cities ranging from New York to San Francisco will bring their sounds to town.
Shows are scheduled over the next three nights, with additional daytime events on Saturday and Sunday.

According to their promoter, the musicians of Brooklyn-based Shellshag "had a blast last time they were in town," even Tweeting about "never wanting to leave Chattanooga." Their set leads off Saturday night's show at Discoteca. They're touring in support of new album "Crashing Rockets."
