Lookouts romp past Diamond Jaxx, 14-2

JACKSON, Tenn. -- The seventh time was the charm for Chattanooga against West Tenn, as the Lookouts won their Southern League baseball game 14-2 on Thursday.

The Lookouts shredded Diamond Jaxx starting pitcher Mauricio Robles with a four-run first inning and a five-run third. The game opened with walks for Dee Gordon and Trayvon Robinson, an Eddy Perez RBI double to right field, a Corey Smith RBI single to right, a Kyle Russell RBI double to center and a Scott Van Slyke sacrifice fly to right.

Jaime Pedroza had a two-run single to highlight the third inning for Chattanooga, which is 31-35 with three games remaining in the first half.

Game four of a six-game series is tonight at 8:05 EDT. Timothy Sexton (3-5, 4.31 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Michael Pineda (7-1, 2.43) listed for the Diamond Jaxx.
