Who are Chattanooga's biggest water users?

Poultry processor Koch Foods LLC was the biggest customer of the Tennessee American Water Co. IN 2010. The top five water users were:

  1. Koch Foods LLC, a chicken processing company with two local plants

  2. Piglrim’s Pride, another chicken processing company with two local plants

  3. City of Fort Oglethorpe, the biggest wholesale water customer of Tennessee American. The city distributes and sells that water to residences and busineses within Fort Oglethorpe.

  4. Walden’s Ridge Utility District. The water utility buys its water from Tennessee American and distributes it to customers in and around Walden’s Ridge

  5. Town of Signal Mountain, another wholesale purchaser of Tennessee American Water, the city distributes the water within its borders
