A Millbrook, Ala., man was charged with third-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools Thursday after deputies found him leaving an unoccupied home in Fort Payne, Ala., according to a news release from DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris.

Officers were waiting for Stephan James Headrick, 18, as he left the home. They were called to the scene by the homeowner's son, who saw a suspicious vehicle parked in his mother's driveway.

Headrick is in DeKalb County Jail awaiting bond, the sheriff said.
