Lauren Alaina Suddeth advances to 'Idol's' top six

Rossville's Lauren Alaina Suddeth advanced into the top six finalists during Thursday night's results round of "American Idol."

Suddeth, daughter of J.J. and Kristy Suddeth, sang Sara Evans' "Born to Fly" during Wednesday night's competition.Host Ryan Seacrest said 52 million votes were cast following that episode.

Sent packing was 22-year-old Stefano Langone. Langone was Judge Jennifer Lopez's wild-card pick for the top 13 finalists and managed to survive elimination longer than some of the 10 singers originally selected as finalists.

"I'm so blessed, I can't complain," Langone said. "It's the start of my career."
