Mom facing charges in fatal crash

A Dayton, Tenn., woman faces charges in the death of her 4-year-old child in a traffic crash Friday, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Ashley A. Robinson, 35, lost control of her Jeep on Blythe Ferry Road, the THP reported. The vehicle veered off the right side of the road, then overcorrected.

The child, Stella Robinson, was not in a car seat or buckled in. She was thrown from the vehicle, and it flipped on top of her, the THP report stated.

Ashley Robinson, who also wasn't buckled in, was uninjured, the report stated. The report said charges are pending.
