Due to storm damage in the city of Ringgold, Ga., the Ringgold Post Office is inaccessible to the public, according to a news release.
The U.S. Postal Service is arranging to provide mail services at the Fort Oglethorpe Station in Rossville, Ga.
Customers with post office boxes who normally go to the Ringgold Post Office to get their mail may pick up that mail at the Fort Oglethorpe postal station, located at 155 Forrest Road in Rossville. All customers will be required to show proper identification to pick up their mail.
Business and residential street deliveries will be made in Ringgold where roads are passable and mailboxes available, according to the release. For impassable roads, some mail will be available for pickup the following day in Fort Oglethorpe. Carriers will try to make deliveries wherever roads are passable in the Ringgold delivery area.
