CORDOVA, Tenn. -- The scheduled final round of the 96th annual Tennessee Amateur Championship golf tournament was suspended in the morning by stormy weather and eventually canceled at 3:30 p.m. CDT at Colonial Country Club, leaving 2007 champion Bobby Hudson of Memphis as the 2011 winner and Hunter Green of Evensville as the runner-up for the second year in a row. Play was suspended at 10:26 a.m. CDT and never resumed. Hudson, a recent University of Texas graduate about to turn pro, had a 54-hole total of 218 after his third-round 69. Green, a former Rhea County High School standout now playing for Middle Tennessee State, was at 220, one shot better than a quartet that included four-time champion Tim Jackson of Germantown, a member of The Honors Course in Ooltewah. Former Baylor School player Jay Vandeventer of Bristol, who plays for the University of Tennessee, was seventh at 222, and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga player Davis Bunn of Knoxville tied for eighth at 223. Richard Spangler Jr. of Hixson tied for 14th at 225, and another UTC player, Steven Fox of Hendersonville, shared 17th place at 226.
