Alex Castellanos crossed the plate three times, one more than the Birmingham Barons, as the Chattanooga Lookouts posted a 4-2 Southern League baseball victory Friday night at AT&T Field.

Castellanos led off the fourth inning with a triple to left field and scored on Travis Denker's one-out single to right, and he led off the sixth with a double to left and scored on Corey Smith's two-out single to center. Brian Cavazos-Galvez followed with a double to center that scored Smith and gave the Lookouts their first lead at 3-2.

In the eighth inning, Castellanos took a leadoff walk, advanced to third on singles by Smith and Cavazos-Galvez and scored on a Johnnie Lowe wild pitch. Acquired in a July 31 trade with the St. Louis Cardinals, Castellanos is hitting .351 in 11 games with the Lookouts.

Ethan Martin pitched the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to earn the win for Chattanooga (28-19) before Shawn Tolleson collected his eighth save.

Birmingham took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Brandon Short's two-out double to right was followed by Jon Gilmore's single to center. The Barons made it 2-0 in the second when Jason Bour's one-out double to left was followed by Greg Paimi's single to right.

Chris Withrow (3-6, 4.25 ERA) is scheduled to start tonight's 7:15 game for the Lookouts, with Terry Doyle (3-5, 3.79) scheduled for the Barons.
