Two men were robbed at gunpoint in a Chattanooga home today after two male robbers entered the rear door wielding an ax, according to a released statement.

Chattanooga police officers responded just before 1 p.m. to 2004 E. 12th St. after the intruders ransacked the inside of the home and held up one man at gunpoint, said police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.

A second man returned to the home with his children inside a vehicle. His car, a blue Ford Windstar with Tennessee tags 157 CQD, was carjacked after the assailants removed the children, Weary said.

No one was injured in the incident, she said.

A total of $200 in cash was taken along with two cell phones, Weary said.

The suspects are described as men about 6 feet tall with thin builds and between the ages of 18 and 25 years. One of the men had twists in his hair.
