A Chattanooga air charter company recorded a first for the business Saturday when a couple hired a single-engine Cessna so they could exchange marriage vows - about 7,500 feet in the air.

Daryl and Johnita Moore, both of Knoxville, used a 10-seat Crystal Air plane for their wedding, said Taylor Newman, the company's operations director and the plane's pilot.

He said the marriage was the second for both and the couple wanted to do something unique.

After the wedding, Newman said the couple departed on a 12-day motorcycle journey to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.
