A person was shot and killed in Fairmount, Ga., at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday, authorities said.
A Gordon County Sheriff's Office dispatcher said that multiple calls came in reporting the shooting, and when deputies arrived on the scene, they found the victim lifeless.
No information was available Saturday night about the victim, the motive or the suspect, but the Calhoun Times newspaper reported online that the sheriff's office has a man in custody.
