Kmart store manager Ted Straub talks Thursday in his Omaha, Neb., store. Dozens of Kmart customers across the country have had their layaways paid off by strangers.

Nearly a dozen local families will have presents under the tree, thanks to a secret Santa.

An anonymous donor paid off $4,000 worth of layaway items at the Cleveland K-Mart.

Several other donors have given up to $200 to help out families.
