Volkswagen's Super Bowl commercial for the Chattanooga-made 2012 Passat become one of the top five subjects discussed worldwide on Twitter Thursday morning.
The commercial (dubbed "The Force") was posted to YouTube Wednesday, well before its scheduled Super Bowl debut this Sunday.
At one point, the commercial ranked fourth on Twitter's trending topics list.
By 11 a.m. Thursday it had garnered close to 1.2 million views on YouTube.
The commercial shows a child dressed as Star Wars character Darth Vader attempting to use "Force" power on ordinary objects.
Most commenters labeled it as clever and funny.
Said one, "Cutest. Vader. EVER."
