WTCI names Be More award finalists

Twenty-two organizations have been announced by WTCI-TV as finalists for its Be More Awards, which will be presented during a luncheon March 9 at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

The awards are part of a national program for PBS stations that recognizes excellence in the local nonprofit community.

Be More ... Creative (Innovation Award)

* Signal Centers' Assistive Technology Center

* Tri-State Therapeutic Riding Center

Be More ... Impactful (Local Service Award)

* La Paz Chattanooga

* Northside Neighborhood House

* Partnership for Families, Children and Adults

* Volunteers in Medicine

Be More ... Enriched (Educational Outreach Award)

* Association of Visual Arts (AVA)

* Chattanooga Autism Center, a TEAM Centers, Inc. Program

* Chattanooga Kids on the Block Inc.

* Master Gardeners of Hamilton County

Be More ... Engaging (People's Choice Award)

* Chattanooga Autism Center, a TEAM Centers Inc. program

* The Children's Advocacy Center of Hamilton County

* Chattanooga Girls Choir

* Chattanooga Kids on the Block Inc.

This category does not have finalists, only a winner to be announced at the event.
