Pit bull bites two on Russell Street

Sunday, February 6, 2011

A family's pit bull bit a mother and daughter this afternoon on Russell Street, authorities said.

Karen Walsh with the McKamey Animal Shelter said the two females were arguing in their home and the dog apparently became agitated and bit them.

Both went to a local emergency room for evaluation and treatment, Walsh said. Their identities and conditions weren't available as of 4:30 today.

Chattanooga police and Walsh said McKamey will conduct an investigation.
