The soft rumbling of the rails provides the background "music" on Tennessee Valley Railroad's Valentine Dinner Trains this weekend.
Diesel-powered trains will travel at a leisurely pace from Grand Junction Station, 4119 Cromwell Road, through portions of urban Chattanooga, passing Chattanooga Zoo and National Cemetery.
Choose your dining partner wisely, as "in all honesty, this ride is about the rail dining experience more than the actual trip," says the TVRM website.
The four-course meal includes a choice of entree (beef, chicken, fish, vegetarian) that you'll specify when you reserve your tickets.
The fare for the ride is $60. As of press time, only standard seating remained for the 8 p.m. trips today, Sunday and Monday; all 5:30 seatings and both Saturday excursions are sold out.
To reserve a seat, call 894-8028, ext. 0, or visit www.tvrail.com.
