When Bradley County Sheriff’s deputies were serving a warrant on a man for violating probation, investigators found an active meth lab and arrested four people in the house.
Police arrested David Overbay, 41, Theresa Rich, 28, Eric Massengill, 29, and Wendie Lemons, 31, and charged them with multiple drug charges, said a sheriff’s spokesman Bob Gault.
Police also found a 2-year-old child in the home who was exposed to chemical vapors, Gault said.
All four people were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and simple possession, Gault said. Massengill and Lemons were also charged with child endangerment.
When they arrived at 135 Spearfish Lane to serve a warrant on Overbay, investigators smelled a chemical order, Gault said. Investigators asked to search his room and found two bags of methamphetamine and three scales, he said.
Police then found a meth lab in a back bedroom, Gault said.
