Annual Cam Busch series to feature Pimsler troupe

Saturday, February 19, 2011

The 11th annual Cam Busch Endowed Art for Health Lecture Series will be held Thursday, March 3, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Hunter Museum of American Art.

The purpose of the series is to acquaint the community with the importance of art in the healing process.

"We are delighted to have Stuart Pimsler Dance and Theater," said Busch, an art therapist. "Dance and movement have such a powerful impact on health and spiritual well-being."

Stuart Pimsler Dance and Theater has been a forerunner in the arts-in-health movement, and was recently honored by the National Endowment for the Arts in healthcare.

Program participants are invited to arrive early and explore the Hunter Museum.

Tickets are $25, $15 for students. If the event does not sell out, any remaining tickets will be sold for $35 at the door.
