A Calhoun, Ga., man has been arrested and charged with molesting a 9-year-old girl.
Conrado Lopez, 49, was arrested Monday after the mother of the alleged victim filed a complaint that she believed Lopez had assaulted her daughter, Calhoun Police Department Chief Garry Moss said.
Detectives launched an investigation into the claim and were able to obtain evidence to corroborate the allegations, Moss said.
Lopez was charged with one count of child molestation and remains in the Gordon County Jail.
