A 46-year-old man faces aggravated rape and especially aggravated kidnapping charges after police found two missing teenage girls at a Wilcox Road address, according to Hamilton County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Janice Atkinson.

Christopher Johnson was hospitalized with what police are calling a self-inflicted knife wound from a suicide attempt, Atkinson said.

The sheriff's office reported Friday that Johnson had taken the 13- and 14-year-old girls to McDonald's on Browns Ferry Road on Thursday night and that the girls didn't return home.

Friday night, the girls were located at the Wilcox Road address and told investigators Johnson had sexually assaulted them, Atkinson said.

Relatives told police Johnson had a drug problem, she said.
