The triple shooting on July 3, 2011, is now a homicide. 25-year-old Melvin "Brando" Fennell was the first of three people shot late last night at 818 B Arlington Avenue. Fennell was shot multiple times in the chest as he walked to the front door of his home. Following the shooting, he was rushed to Erlanger Hospital but died during emergency surgery.
The two other victims, 24-year-old Calvin Garner and 21-year-old Mariah Stoudemire are in stable condition. This shooting marks the 15th homicide for the year. No suspects have yet been identified in the shootings.
