The head of the Chattanooga Community Development Financial Institution said today that he was told point-blank his organization was not the target of an FBI probe.

“I asked if the CDFI was the target of an investigation,” David Johnson, president of CCDFI and Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise. “The answer was no.”

He said he also asked if staff were targets of an investigation and he also said the answer was “no.”

Johnson said he felt the target for the investigation was the Tennessee Multicultural Chamber of Commerce, which has been under fire for a week concerning a city review that came out. The review detailed possible financial mismanagement, questionable loans, and extravagant salaries and travel expenses.

Just another Metro Payoff Club smokescreen.

These people are just the next victims in the local Republican smash and trash PR campaign. Last season, it was all of those evildoers conniving up some sinister plots with the Arts and Education offices.

Well, it's just a den of Taliban up there with the arts people. Those low-down scoundrels over at Arts and Education decorated the library for kids. Heinous government waste.

Notice how we don't need a special report from someone in Mayor Littlefield's pocket to find financial mismanagement and extravagant salaries.

$328,000 website.

County Mayor self appointment with City Government perks and kickbacks.

$125,000 job for Bob Corker's right hand man, paid for by firing five county jail deputies.

School board scandals; Manny Rico on the City Council trying to tell people that the Republican Party's Karl Rove machine that is the US Chamber of Commerce should somehow be representing local minority businessmen; what have they done that looks right at all?

I saw a policeman driving a @#$%^& VW Jetta station wagon today!

A station wagon!

Chattanooga Police Station Wagon patrolling Hixson Pike!

"Five bucks on Riggs and Murtai. What are they driving?"

"They are in Murtai's old lady's station wagon."

"Bets are off! Bets are off!"

Anyone who's seen "Lethal Weapon 2" knows you don't put police on patrol in a station wagon!

Did they send Joe Pesci to be city auditor?

It's a good thing Mayor Littlefield switched the cops to VW Station Wagons. We never could have gotten local crack dealers in the back of a Beatle. Who knows what the potheads would have done if put in a car with a "bud vase" built into the dash.

Two weeks ago, the police were on, no joke, electric tricycles on the North Shore. A stand-up "Hoverround." This after Mayor Littlefield's crew does everything it can to short change the Police equipment. Screwed them, and us, on the take home patrol cars.

If you want to see horrifying mismanagement and financial misdeeds in government, just read any newspaper report or see any government meeting on television about Chattanooga and Hamilton County. These people who have appointed themselves and are paying off their buddies. They are obviously not taking care of the city and county area. They are paying themselves with their office.

The list of their misdeeds is so long, we basically have not seen them do anything since November's self-appointment Metro Payoff Club deal that looked remotely like what anyone expects from government.

If you want to see an orgy of crime, just look at these people who have appointed themselves to office and done nothing but reward themselves and their friends another $125,000.

Said it before, will say it again. littleman started this investigation because some heat is under his back-end and he wants to get Chattanooga all racially stirred up. Not saying that TMCC still doesn't have a lot of explaining to do, but why now?

For GOD'S sake people, make it a point to vote in 2013. I hope and pray that someone with honesty and concern for the regular folks of the scenic city, at the forefront opposes littleman.......might get lucky and he will decide not to run.

Littlefield cant run again. The Mayor of Chattanooga is limited to two terms. He is gone gone gone after this term ends but we do need to get rid of the whole City Council, with the exception of Russell Gilbert. It amazes me the way they waste mnoney and get away with it. The TMCC is as crooked as they come but Littlefiueld calling them that is the pot calling the kettle black.

Term limits haven't prevented these people from forming cliques and paying themselves. It just means they load fresh meat in front of the TV cameras.
