Rybolt joins Alexian Brothers

Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries has announced that Dr. Ann Rybolt has joined the Alexian Brothers PACE team.

Dr. Rybolt graduated from Furman University and Emory University School of Medicine. She went on to be a Hartford Faculty Scholar in Geriatrics at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Alexian Brothers’ Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a program designed to serve the frail elderly residents of Hamilton County.

Mallen added to advisory board

The University of Tennessee at Knoxville College of Nursing has named Chattanooga attorney Michael C. Mallen to its advisory board.

Mallen, with the Miller & Martin law firm, has more than two decades of experience in the areas of creating and operating heavy manufacturing businesses as well as in the areas of environmental law and commercial and industrial real estate development.

Mallen is a commissioner on the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority and the Memorial Health Care System Board Planning Committee and is past president of the Riverbend Festival board. He lives in Chattanooga with his wife, Elizabeth, and daughter, Lindsay, a recent graduate of the UTK College of Nursing.

Mattice picked as board chairman

Memorial Health Care System Foundation, the fundraising arm of Memorial Health Care System, has named officers and new members on the Foundation’s board of directors.

Scott Mattice, of Morgan Stanley, will serve as chairman of the board. He previously served as the board’s vice chairman. Alexis Bogo, of the Hamico Foundation, will serve as this year’s vice chairwoman.

Other board members are Jim Kennedy, immediate past chairman; Holly Harwell, board secretary; Tonya Cammon, treasurer and Dr. Mark Anderson, member at large.

New members include Morgan Harrison Everett, Dr. Peter Hunt, Dr. Sandy Sharp, and BettyLynn Smith.

Other board members returning include Boofie Crimmins, Ward Petty and Mike Webb. Ex-officio members are Jennifer Nicely and James M. Hobson.

Surgeon brought on at local group

Dr. Ivo Aaron Miller has joined the Center for Oral and Facial Surgery.

Dr. Miller is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who brings a full scope of surgical skills, according to the group.

He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Arnold named at Colonial Life

Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co. has named Tim Arnold of Chattanooga as senior vice president and chief operating officer.

He is responsible for the company’s main operations, risk and customer service areas, including claims, policyholder services, account services, underwriting and customer acquisition services.

Arnold joins Colonial Life from affiliate company Unum US in Chattanooga, where he served as senior vice president of integrated underwriting.

During his 25-year career with Unum, he has held positions in underwriting, corporate planning, client services, benefits and national accounts sales, and has served in leadership roles in the Chattanooga, Worcester, Mass.; and Portland, Maine, offices.

Bradley engineer honored nationally

Bradley County Civil Engineer Sandra Knight has been honored by the American Society of Civil Engineers with its Pegasus Award, the highest award presented by the ASCE.

The annual Award ac-knowledges an engineer’s civic and humanitarian activities, education, and engineering achievements as well as professional and technical activities.

Knight is a 1986 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and has held the post of Bradley County Civil Engineer since 1996.

Bradley Mayor D. Gary Davis said Knight “brings experience, knowledge and tremendous people skills to the County Engineer’s Office, something that is critical when dealing with major corporations such as Wacker.”
