Komatsu plans to add up to 20 temporary workers to its Chattanooga production facility, anticipating an increase in orders as the construction equipment market improves, according to company spokeswoman Mari Aoyagi.

The increase could bring the plant's workforce up to 240 employees, but the company is not certain whether the jobs will be necessary. Aoyagi said Komatsu will adjust the workforce increase if order sizes aren't as large as anticipated.

Trucking firm locates in Row

One of the nation's fastest growing trucking companies will relocate its executive staff into Warehouse Row next month.

Access America Transport, the Chattanooga-based logistics provider projected to generate sales of more than $180 million this year, is leasing office space in the complex in the 1100 block of Market Street.

Access America President Ted Alling said Warehouse Row "combines the spirit of Chattanooga's industrious past with the refined elegance of downtown today and we think it's the perfect setting for Access America's leadership to take our company to the next level."
