Garden Festival celebrates new community garden at Wheeler Homes

Residents living in Emma Wheeler Homes enjoyed a Garden Festival to celebrate the opening of the Club Jesus Youth Club's Community Garden of Eden. The free festival was sponsored by several partnering organizations. Josephine Wortham, a Wheeler resident, received a $1,000 grant from the Step ONE Eat Smart, Healthy Start initiative to plant 16 garden beds in an effort to provide residents with easily accessible produce.
