Cleveland, Tenn., crash claims driver's life

WRCB-TV reports that Cleveland police are investigating a single-car crash on Keith Street that left the driver dead and injured two passengers.

Police spokeswoman Evie West told WRCB that the car hit an embankment around 4 p.m. Friday.

Two occupants were flown to Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga. The third was taken to SkyRidge Hospital in Cleveland and transferred to Erlanger.

The driver, 20-year-old Robert Malone, died around 11 a.m. today.

Passenger Ethan Robinson, 21, remains in the hospital, WRCB reports. Passenger Megan Cooper, 20, was released.
