The Tennessee Highway Patrol has detained a Signal Mountain man they believe was involved in a Saturday-morning crash that killed three.

James T. Meeks III, 18, has been identified as the driver of a vehicle involved in a Marion County crash that killed Scott Clayton, 20, Emily Clayton, 21, and Annie Blevins, 24.

Blevins' husband, Eric, was injured in the crash.

Highway patrol spokeswoman Dalya Qualls said the investigation is ongoing and that Meeks currently faces no charges.

An incident report stated that the Jeep driven by Eric Blevins, of Chattanooga, went off Big Fork Road in a curve about 4:20 a.m. Saturday. The Jeep rolled and the passengers were thrown out and trapped under the vehicle.

Eric Blevins' testimony led investigators to believe another car was involved.
