A man has been arrested in connection with an armed residential robbery at 1211 Flynn St. this afternoon, police said.

But police are still searching for two other suspects.

Arterrius Allen, Sr. was arrested after police found items from the robbery in his vehicle, according to Chattanooga Police spokeswoman Jerri Weary. The exact charges against him are not clear.

About 1:20 p.m. today, resident Brian Smith told police that he was asleep in his home when he heard a loud bang then saw two men rush into his bedroom with guns pointed at him.

They demanded money and drugs, but Smith told them he had neither, according to police, so they then began ransacking the home, taking TVs, a PlayStation, DJ equipment and money from the victim.

Smith said they fled the scene in a white Nissan Altima which was waiting outside, according to Weary.

Smith gave descriptions of the suspects and the vehicle and Weary said police soon located a Nissan Altima matching the description at Jeffrey Lane and Woodland View Circle near the Piney Woods neighborhood.

Occupants of the vehicle jumped out and ran when police stopped them, but the driver, Allen, was apprehended at the scene, Weary said.

Police are still looking for the other two suspects. The first suspect was described as a young black male between 18 and 20 years old, 5 feet 8 and about 175 pounds, wearing all red with tattoos on both arms. He had a shaved head and was armed with a gun.

The second suspect was described as a young black male between 18 and 20 years old, 6 feet 2 and 150 pounds, wearing a black shirt, blue jeans with long dreadlocks. He was also armed with a gun.
