Hamilton County has announced it will lay off 38 as it implements a budget that is $13.7 million less than last year's.

Supported agencies saw a cut of $7.2 million. Erlanger hospital's reduction was $1.5 million.

The county will have 58 positions that are unfilled.

Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger said he will ask for a four-week severance package, rather than two weeks, for those laid off.
