Shooting victim undergoes surgery

An 18-year-old man is in surgery this morning after he was shot just after midnight at 1005 Spears Avenue, Chattanooga police said in a news release.

Adrian Turner was shot after a vehicle pulled up to the Spears Street residence, police reported.

An occupant from the vehicle called Turner over and as he approached the vehicle, an occupant of the car shot him three times in the chest then drove away, according to the news release. The victim was taken to a local hospital.

His current condition is unknown.

Police said it is likely that the shooting is related to a dispute Turner was involved in with others Sunday evening.
