It's not every day a woman claims to be the lead character in a science fiction movie and says her father is death.

That's what 32-year-old Neesha Cari Clark, of Ringgold, Ga., told a Chattanooga Police Department officer Monday, according to an arrest report.

Police said Clark insisted she was the character Trinity from "The Matrix," a 1999 movie starring Carrie-Anne Moss and Keanu Reeves in which the nature of reality is questioned. Clark also said her father was the Grim Reaper.

Clark was sitting behind the wheel of an unidentified man's car in a parking lot at the Sheraton Read House, 827 Broad St., when police found her, according to the arrest report.

Officers discovered a bag of psilocybin mushrooms, some of which Clark had consumed, the report stated.

"There was nothing wrong with them, because they were from the Earth," she told police.

Officers said they repeatedly ordered the woman to exit the vehicle.

Clark told one officer he was her 10-year-old son, and that he swam with dolphins and carried pockets full of clay, police said.

Once Clark was taken into custody, she was taken to Erlanger hospital for examination, then booked into the Hamilton County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct. She posted bond, jail records show.

Her next court appearance is set for 1:30 p.m. on July 18.
