Former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga cornerback Buster Skrine likely gave his NFL draft stock a big boost Tuesday by running the fastest 40-yard dash time at the NFL combine.
Skrine ran an unofficial time of 4.29 in his first attempt, the only sub-4.3 time of the combine. He stumbled a bit on his second run and still was clocked at 4.36.
A two-time first-team All-Southern Conference selection, Skrine was projected by many analysts before the combine as a late-round pick in the draft.
