A story on the Metro page in Tuesday's edition concerning the Chattanooga Housing Authority should have stated that local civil rights leader James Mapp only wants the former Maurice Poss Homes land to be used as a stadium and track and as a facility for vocational training for Howard School of Technology and Academics.

A story on Monday's Metro page should have said a female muntjac at the Chattanooga Zoo died Jan. 8 of a twisted colon, 29 days after a male muntjac drowned in a pond at the zoo on Dec. 10. Zoo officials said the deer were frightened by barking dogs on "pet night" during the zoo's Holiday Lights program. Friends of the Zoo board member and veterinarian Mickey Myers has said the second deer's death was not connected to the dog-barking incident.
