Suddeth named 'Idol' finalist

Lauren Alaina Suddeth won one of the coveted 12 finalists' spots tonight on "American Idol."

Suddeth, 16, a sophomore at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School, is the daughter of Kristy and JJ Suddeth of Rossville, Ga.

According to host Ryan Seacrest, 40 million votes were cast Tuesday and Wednesday nights as viewers chose their favorites for Season 10.
