Samford scored the last seven points in regulation and the first seven in overtime to defeat the UTC Lady Mocs 68-66 today in the Southern Conference basketball tournament semifinals at McKenzie Arena.
Bailey Dewart had a chance to send the game to a second overtime but had a shot blocked after driving the baseline.
UTC will miss out on the SoCon tournament championship game for only the third time in 11 years, but all three of those occasions have occurred in Chattanooga.
