Kylie Lambert of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga was named Monday to the Southern Conference women's basketball all-tournament second team. UTC lost in overtime in Sunday's semifinal against Samford, which beat top-seeded Appalachian State for the championship Monday.
Lambert, a former McMinn Central High School standout, had 17 points and a career-high 14 rebounds and was 3-for-5 on 3-point shots in the Lady Mocs' final game. She averaged 11.5 points and a team-best 9.5 rebounds in the tournament.
The women's all-tournament first team included Samford's Savannah Hill and Emily London and Appalachian's Ashlen Dewart, Anna Freeman and Kelsey Sharkey. Dewart is the sister of a UTC player.
Joining Lambert on the second team were Appalachian's Courtney Freeman, Davidson's Sophia Aleksandravicius, Elon's Ali Ford and Wofford's Mahagony Williams.
