Thursday, March 10, 2011

A Chattanooga man and Memphis man each face two counts of aggravated robbery and 16 counts of aggravated kidnapping in connection with the armed robberies of a Super Bi-Lo and Regal Cinema, according to a Chattanooga police news release.

Christopher S. Reed, 27, of Chattanooga, and Ulysses M. Perry, 24, of Memphis, were taken into custody Thursday at a residence at 7127 Blossom Circle. Chattanooga police and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office jointly investigated the March 8 robbery of the Ooltewah-Ringgold Road grocery store robbery and the Feb. 11 robbery of the Hamilton Place Boulevard cinema.

There is a possibility that others were involved in the robberies, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
