Tennessee unemployment rate at 9.5 percent

Tennessee's unemployment rate for January was 9.5 percent, up 0.1 from the December rate, according to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

The national unemployment rate for January was 9.0 percent, 0.4 percentage point less than the December 2010 rate.
