Police said there was a fight about an hour before the 1:24 p.m. shooting, but it was unclear whether the two events were related.

The victim's name was not released pending notification of next of kin.

While investigating that shooting, officers received a report of another shooting in the vicinity of Tunnel Boulevard and Pinewood Avenue. One man was wounded in that shooting.

By mid-afternoon, police had responded to three shootings today in all. A car was shot up around 11 a.m. in the 1400 block of Ivy Street. No injuries were reported in that incident.
