Hamilton County, school board agree on old PILOT money

Hamilton County School Superintendent Jim Scales and Hamilton County Trustee Bill Hullander met today and left with the understanding that school system will receive money it was promised under old payment in lieu of taxes agreements, but not new ones.

On Thursday, school officials said their revenues were down by $1.5 million and Scales and the Director of Budget and Accounting Christie Jordan wanted more information. Today, Scales and Hullander said it was closer to $1.7 million.

"The commission can not do anything with their old money," Hullander said.

"We left there feeling good," Scale said. "All the pilot money we had been, getting we'll continue to get that."
