Chattanooga: 23 arrested in gambling bust

Chattanooga police arrested 23 people after busting a gambling operation on Brainerd Road on Monday, according to police spokeswoman Jerri Weary.

Investigators executed a search warrant at 5916 Brainerd Road, seizing $3,810 and gambling paraphernalia, including three flat-screen TVs, chips, cards and player log sheets. Police also confiscated a surveillance system, Weary said.

Police said they had been investigating the site because of the large amount of foot traffic going in and out of the building.

Each of the suspects was charged with gambling promotion and possession of a gambling device.

Those arrested include Patrick Moore, 39; Robert Elliot, 46; Robert Kitchen, 33; Jeremy Gray, 26; April Connell, 31; Christopher Nowell, 22; Joshua Turner, 28; Norman Mckeldin, 39; Michael Davis, 40; Kristy Bailey, 39; Christopher Banther, 35; Colin Lano, 40; Randolph Book Jr., 26; Thomas Yarborough, 37; Kevin Miles, 32; Michael Thurmond, 34; Freddy Williams, 47; Herman Holt, 50; Robert Fears, 33; Richard Gladney, 40; Jimmy Sowell, 22; Tawana Lattimore, 31; and Corell Simpson, 25.
