A DeKalb County, Ala., man has been arrested on charges of sexually abusing a girl under 14 years old, authorities said.
Charles Ed Lowe, 51, of the Whiton community, was arrested Tuesday and charged with one count of first-degree sexual abuse, DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said in a news release.
He said a report was filed with the department a couple of weeks ago and that Lowe was interviewed and then arrested.
Lowe remains in jail on a $15,000 bond, Harris said.
The investigation is ongoing as other possible victims are being interviewed and additional charges against Lowe are possible, he said.
