More than 100 people were arrested Friday and Saturday on felony and misdemeanor charges in the second saturation sweep this month by the Chattanooga Police Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department.
Chattanooga police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary said authorities were reacting to the spike of violence during the month of March.
In addition to 101 arrests, Weary said officers served 32 warrants, seized eight vehicles and three guns and confiscated $2,244. In addition, police seized more than 8 pounds of marijuana, 2 grams of cocaine, 2 grams of crack cocaine, half a gram of methamphetamine and 23 pills.
Weary said eight arrests were gang-related.

Kudos to our police, just think how much these brave officers could get done if they had the recources instead of a mayor wanting to cut their funds. Good job guys!
That was a good job. That is a lot better than wasting time on gamblers. Where were the names and addresses of those arrested? Maybe right to know will at least show the mug shots.
They will be back on the streets doing it all over again!
Great to hear! I really do appreciate the police stepping things up. I pray that they are allowed to continue this extra enforcement all summer.
2 grams of coke, 2 grams of crack and 1/2 gram of meth? where are the drugs? this is a miniscule amount. To have "rounded-up" 101 criminals this sounds more like the "usual suspects" were caught. Give me a break, What the Chattanooga Police are good for is handing out tickets and fines to the working folks while thugs have gun-fights in our parks (paid for with working folks tax dollars).
